'In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.'- Albert Camus
It's Week 11 everyone, I graduate in Week 14! I can see the light at the end! Before me lies a world without the pressure of getting an HD for everything, a world without grades, without piles of dusty books by long-dead critics. A world where I will paint what I want, not what gives me the most marks. A world where I will (hopefully) get paid to write art theory, a world where my passion for fiction will (again, hopefully) bloom far from the shrivelling fires of academia.
No longer will I live in a box! It's been three and a half years and I am so ready to get out of here. I can't wait. I'm so excited.
Can you tell?I have a presentation on Indigenous art, 3000 word art theory essay, a poetry folio + anthology, and two bodies of work to exhibit in three weeks time (acrylic and watercolour). So. Close.
Anyway, much love to you all!

It's probably too early to say 'catch you on the flipside', but it always makes me laugh because I visualise Rocco from the Boondock Saints saying it and he's so fail.
